One Mind is now actively accepting applications for the 2025 One Mind Rising Star Awards program. Since its founding, One Mind has supported the curiosity and drive of the most promising early career scientists, enabling stunning breakthroughs and launching their careers as leaders. In 2005, One Mind formalized this strategy, launching the Rising Star Awards program with the fundamental belief that investing in world-class early-career investigators pursuing innovative, high-risk, high-reward research would accelerate breakthroughs in mental health conditions and psychiatric disorders. This year, in celebration of its 20th anniversary, One Mind will award at least three Rising Star Awards, each providing a $300,000 research grant ($100,000 per year for three years).

One Mind™, a leading mental health non-profit based in Napa Valley, CA, today announced the 2025 cohort of its flagship One Mind Accelerator program. Thanks to considerable contributions from this year’s supporters, the new cohort will grow from 10 to 16 companies and an official alumni program will offer year-round support for all past and present participants. The 16 early-stage startups spanning Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A, selected from ~200 applicants, will participate in an intensive 10-week immersion program focused on fundraising, business development, company building, and founder development. By supporting emerging companies through the Accelerator, One Mind seeks to positively impact the lives of people facing mental health challenges by advancing precision psychiatry, and making high quality mental healthcare more accessible, affordable, and equitable.

With a record-breaking $3.56 million raised, the 30th Annual One Mind Music Festival for Brain Health brought together leaders in science, philanthropy, and entertainment to celebrate three decades of mental health innovation. Presented by Bank of America and Bristol Myers Squibb, the festival on September 7 marked 30 years of groundbreaking mental health research, discovery, and innovation. More than 400 guests gathered for this event, which has become one of the most influential fundraisers dedicated to accelerating mental health solutions. Since its inception, One Mind has impacted the lives of more than 30 million people worldwide.

Each emerging leader will receive a $300,000 research grant, distributed over three years, to support their ongoing research to benefit people living with psychiatric disorders and the mental healthcare system. The Index includes a standardized assessment of organizational programs and practices that support workforce mental health and an advice library that provides recommendations and resources to guide data-driven strategic improvement and innovations.

One Mind™, in collaboration with COMPASS Pathways plc, has announced the recipients of three “2022 One Mind – COMPASS Rising Stars Awards”. Each awardee will receive a $300,000 grant over a three year-period and leadership training through the One Mind Rising Star Development Program.

One Mind reached a major milestone at the 27th Music Festival for Brain Health, surpassing a half billion dollars raised and leveraged since the initial festival in 1995. The 2021 event, held September 11th at Staglin Family Vineyard, raised over $7.5 million to benefit One Mind.

The One Mind Rising Star Research Awards are a vital catalyst to accelerate neuropsychiatric science by identifying and funding the most promising emerging leaders whose pivotal research aims to improve lives worldwide. In addition to providing each awardee a $300,000 grant and expanded leadership development support, One Mind, in collaboration with Inscopix, has announced a supplemental technology grant in support of one Rising Star Research Award.

Given the growing challenges of addressing brain illness and injury, One Mind, in collaboration with Janssen Research & Development LLC, Donna Friedman, and Robina Riccitiello, is offering up to three Rising Star Research Awards in 2021. In collaboration with Inscopix, One Mind is also offering up to two supplemental technology grants, each in support of one Rising Star Research Award.
