MetLife Investment Management (MIM), the institutional asset management business of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), today announced that it has named Brian Funk its president. Funk previously served as interim president and global head of Private Capital for MIM.
MetLife Investment Management Originates $6.4 Billion in Private Placement Debt and Private Structured Credit For 1H 2021
MetLife Investment Management (MIM), the institutional asset management business of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), today announced it originated $6.4 billion in private placement debt and private structured credit for the first half of 2021 across 107 transactions. This included $1.2 billion of investments originated on behalf of unaffiliated institutional clients. MIM’s total private placement debt and private structured credit assets under management stood at $102.0 billion as of June 30, 2021.1
Midtown Union’s Mira Apartment Complex Tops Out
MetLife Investment Management (MIM), the institutional asset management business of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), in partnership with StreetLights Residential, a design-driven developer of multifamily and mixed-use communities, is pleased to announce the topping out of the luxury apartment complex, the Mira, at Midtown Union in Atlanta, GA. Part of the Midtown Union mixed-use development, the Mira will consist of 355 units across 26 stories. Construction began in November 2019 and the apartments are expected to begin leasing in mid-2022.
