The Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) in Seville presents Améfrica: Diasporic Connections in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection (Améfrica), an exhibition curated by Brazilian curator and scholar Helio Menezes and drawn from the holdings of the Jorge M. Pérez Collection and El Espacio 23 in Miami. The presentation brings together 128 works by 99 artists and examines the global influence of the African diaspora across generations and geographies.

El Espacio 23 (EE23) — the contemporary art space founded by leading philanthropist, entrepreneur and art collector Jorge M. Pérez in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood — is pleased to debut its highly anticipated fifth show, titled Mirror of the Mind: Figuration in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection. On display from November 7, 2024, to August 16, 2025, the cross-media exhibition examines artists’ use of figuration and portraiture to explore the complexities of the human condition. Co-curated by the Jorge M. Pérez Collection’s Director, Patricia M. Hanna, and Curator, Anelys Alvarez, the show features 150 works from over 120 artists.

El Espacio 23 (EE23) – the contemporary art space founded by leading philanthropist, entrepreneur and art collector Jorge M. Pérez – has debuted its highly anticipated fourth exhibition, titled To Weave the Sky: Textile Abstractions from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection. On display from Nov. 2, 2023 to August 2024, the show celebrates numerous textile-based works from the Pérez collection – many of which have never been publicly exhibited before – and engages these acquisitions as focal points from which to structure creative dialogues with artworks presented in other mediums. The exhibition highlights works from historic and contemporary artists.
