On the afternoon of May 19, over 120 representatives from more than 60 organizations, including travel agents from France, Switzerland, and Southeast Asia, prominent international travel bloggers, multilingual CCTV hosts, media influencers from provincial and Yangtze River Delta regions, and representatives from major scenic spots in Nanjing’s Jiangning District, gathered at the Ziqing Lake Tourist Area in Tangshan, Nanjing. The gathering marked the celebration of the 15th “China Tourism Day” and the official launch of a two-day inbound and domestic travel agent event in Jiangning.
As part of the celebration, the Jiangning District hosted a cultural and tourism promotion conference, offering attendees an evocative and comprehensive presentation of the district’s rich tourism assets—including its picturesque mountains, serene lakes, vibrant cityscapes, and lush forests.
A featured highlight was a sand painting performance that artistically illustrated Jiangning’s “golden tourism map”, spotlighting renowned attractions such as Niushou Mountain, Tangshan Hot Springs, and the Garden Expo Park. In addition, a cultural market showcasing intangible cultural heritage products—including velvet flowers, cherry duck, ramie cloth, and Jinling gold foil—drew enthusiastic interest from international delegates, many of whom were reluctant to leave without taking home a piece of Jiangning’s heritage.
On the same day, multiple enterprises signed cooperative agreements to enhance inbound tourism services, particularly in areas such as transportation and hospitality.
Through this event, the Jiangning Culture and Tourism Bureau extended invitations to both domestic and international travel agencies and prominent online influencers to engage directly with the district’s offerings. By integrating resource promotion activities with on-site familiarization tours, the Bureau seeks to build a comprehensive support system for inbound tourism in Jiangning. The initiative aims to leverage online media and tourism influencers to “spread the word” about Jiangning’s emotionally enriching cultural and tourism offerings, with the hope of “attracting more international visitors” in the future.
On May 20, participating travel agents carried out full-day site inspections and immersive experiences at Jiangning’s Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Area and the Tangshan Garden Expo Park.
