KO Law Names Jennifer Rosenthal as New Managing Partner

Jennifer graduated law school in 2009, joined KO Law in 2012, and was promoted to equity partner in 2016, the fastest ascension to partnership by anyone in the firm’s history. Jennifer was also the firm’s first female equity partner and is now the firm’s first female Managing Partner.

As a corporate partner at KO Law, Jennifer works with clients ranging from startups to public companies, with industry focuses on consumer products and technology. Jennifer’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments. She also serves as outside general counsel for many of her clients, acting as their first point of contact for legal and business guidance.

In addition to her day-to-day role serving as a business advisor and legal counsel to her clients, Jennifer is an advocate for women in business, mother to two young children, and has held several leadership roles at KO, including leading KO Law’s Women’s Group and serving on the firm’s Management, Marketing, Business Development, and Recruiting Committees.

Jennifer is also actively involved in the community through numerous volunteer and mentorship roles. She co-founded the Colorado Women in Venture Capital Group that aims to build a more diverse and inclusive venture ecosystem and increase support for women in the venture community. She also previously served as a board member of Naturally Boulder, a member of the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board for the Silicon Flatirons Center, a long-time Techstars mentor, an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Law School where she taught Venture Capital Drafting, and a formal and informal mentor for many female attorneys and professionals.

Jennifer has been recognized with several awards, including 2024 Lawyer of the Year by Law Week Colorado, 2023 Outstanding Woman in Business by the Denver Business Journal, Silicon Flatirons’ Entrepreneurship Supporter of the Year, Boulder Valley’s 40 under Forty Honoree, Super Lawyers Rising Star and more.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder and her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an Associate Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review. During law school, she served as an extern for both the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Colorado Supreme Court. After graduating from law school, Jennifer quickly established herself as a top lawyer in private practice. Prior to joining KO Law, Jennifer practiced as a corporate associate in the Denver office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, an international law firm based in Los Angeles, California.
