Gong cha, the world’s premier bubble tea brand, was recognized as one of the top 400 franchises in the U.S. on Franchise Times' distinguished Top 400 List. The annual ranking analyzes the largest U.S. franchise systems by industry sector, based on global systemwide sales growth and the past year's performance. Reflecting the tremendous growth the brand has experienced in the previous year and a 16.5% sales increase, Gong cha improved its position from #193 in 2022 to #151 in 2023, climbing the list by a remarkable 42 spots.
As the world's premier bubble tea brand with more than 2,000 international locations, this is Gong cha's third consecutive appearance on the list, recognizing the brand’s rapid growth fueled by its aggressive expansion strategy. Since 2014, Gong cha has opened more than 225 stores in the U.S. alone, across 19 states and Washington, D.C.
